Seoul will bring its historic trading heritage to life with the annual Yukui-jeon Festival on November 7, 2026, along Cheonggye Stream near Jangtonggyo Bridge. Running from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., the festival celebrates the traditional marketplace culture of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910).
Organised by the Jongno-Cheonggye Tourist Special Zone Council, the event will feature local merchant stalls selling clothing, textiles, jewellery, cosmetics, healthcare products and traditional goods. Visitors can also enjoy food trucks, traditional Korean games, craft workshops, cultural performances and a treasure hunt.
Named after the Six Licensed Stores that historically controlled major trading categories, including silk, cotton and hemp fabrics, the festival aims to promote local businesses, preserve commercial heritage and strengthen Seoul's tourism sector.
